A ministry is a way to serve your church and community. The most well-known type of ministry is serving as a pastor, but there are many other ministry opportunities for people. You can use your skills and passions to find a type of ministry that fits your personality to get involved in your church community and strengthen your faith.
Deacons Ministry

The mission of this Ministry is to assist the Pastor in the spiritual oversight of all areas of the Church. We serve as special assistants to the Pastor, visit the sick, seek the wandering, reclaim the delinquent, comfort the feeble minded, encourage the faithful, watch over Gold’s heritage for good, defend the cause of Christ and be deficient in nothing if possible for the welfare of Zion. We oversee the Baptism and Communion Services.

Deaconess & Mothers Board Ministry

The mission of the Deaconess Ministry is to work hand in hand with the pastor and deacons in the administration of the Lord's Supper and Baptism, and to be available for counseling particularly to the female and children members of the congregation. Provide assistance to the needy, sick and homebound.
We are to enhance the spiritual matters of the church, and to help foster peace, love and Christian Unity in the membership by witness and deportment.

Pastor’s Aide Ministry

The purpose of the Pastor's Aid Ministry is to provide moral, spiritual and financial support to the Pastor and his family. Our mission is to lift the pastor up in prayer show sympathy let him know we realize the burdens he carries and lighten it as much as possible. We should support the pastor, praise his sermons and his acts of care for the membership how he humbles himself in serving God. We should teach others to refrain from gossip and not criticize the pastor. We remember the pastor and his family with gifts on birthdays and special occasions as another way of saying thanks and showing appreciation for their labors in ministry on behalf of our church.
Missionaries Ministry

To minister the word of God throughout the community at nursing homes, the elderly, sick and shut-in and to everyone we encounter on a daily basis, informing them that God is alive and Jesus Christ saves those who turn to him for salvation.
Usher's Ministry

The Usher Board is a ministry that serves as doorkeepers to the House of the Lord. Ushers greet and welcome members and visitors as they enter the church to worship and direct them to comfortable seats. They guard the doors during the service and aid the Pastor by helping to provide spiritual dignity to the worship experience. The Usher Board consists of:

Our purpose is to greet each person entering into the sanctuary with a smile, a handshake and a hug. We want everyone to feel welcome and ready to hear the Word! We do not attempt to judge anyone based on who you are, where you’ve been or what you’ve done. We have a “come as you are“ attitude. We do not have a defined dress code. Everyone is Welcome!!!

Publicity Ministry

The purpose of the Publicity Ministry is to help spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ by using external and internal communications to keep members and the community informed about church activities. It uses print and electronic media to publicize special events and distributes materials to area churches and organizations. It helps maintain the church’s website and social media sites. It is also responsible for capturing and archiving photographs of church events, members and special events and projects and works closely with the Church's Secretary to disseminate information.

The Food Bank Ministry was founded in 1993 under the leadership of DeaconnessCarrie M. Hawkins, who became its Executive Director, and Deacon Calvin Hawkins, Mother Grace Kersey, Mother Dorothy Pollitt, Sister Yvonne Taborn, and Sister Cora Thomas. It was established as a community outreach to provide free emergency food assistance to area residents. It distributes basic staples on the third and fourth Saturday of every month in accordance with state and federal eligibility guidelines. Due to the overwhelming need, the Food pantry operations were expanded and remain open year-round. The Food Bank is staffed by volunteers from the church and the community. In addition to food, the pantry provides donated clothing and other items to meet the physical and spiritual needs of clients.
Christian Education Ministry
To organize and support educational programs and activities within North Baptist Church that help children and adults become more knowledgeable followers of Jesus. By the help of Almighty God, every boy, girl, man, and woman will learn and believe that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9- 10.

The mission of this ministry is to fulfill the duties of secretary by keeping a complete and accessible record of all Church business, keep a complete and updated record of all members and a record of all marriages, funerals baptisms and blessing of babies. Record meeting minutes, write official letter for the church. Read, record and keep a record of all business of the church. We must tried to walk worthy of the vocation with lowliness and meekness and with longsuffering, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace as we perform office tasks, handle correspondence, and do clerical work.
